If Mona Lisa Were Never Discovered

The artists lament - It's kind of like self validation. Yes I can paint the Mona Lisa in a grungy style but it's not realy me today. I'm more into realism, fine art, picture perfect, which goes against the grain in todays contemporary art world. If you can't beat them, bend a bit and join them. I'll ask the Greek gods and work on a balance between realism and impressionism.
